Doctor Visit Today

I saw Ralph today and he told me he had a doctor visit with the Nephrologist. Nothing to note from this visit, but he did get a few more things to help. The doctor gave him some forms so he can have a disabled parking pass (now we will always have celebrity--I mean front row--parking for Ralph) and as Ralph said, "I got bionic legs."

Here is a picture of what they look like:

Is there a reason why Ralph has to be in a wheelchair? I remember after breaking my foot I got a handicapped parking pass and man- it was sweet!! Especially at WalMart!
I love you Ralph and LaShon and I pray for you daily!!

The amyloidosis has caused problems with his kidneys. Therefore, he is retaining a lot of fluid. His feet and ankles are very swollen. If he stands for more than a few minutes, the pain is his feet is almost unbearable. Like he says, "The tops of my feet feel like they are going to split apart." The wheelchair helps him to be a little more mobile.
